X-View Doors FAQs
How does X-View one-way privacy mesh work?
X-View’s specialised one-way privacy mesh is designed to provide clear visibility from inside while limiting visibility into your home from outside. It enhances privacy and security while maintaining an open feel at your entrance.
Can I see outside through X-View mesh?
Yes. X-View mesh is designed to provide clear visibility from inside your home while helping maintain privacy from outside. The limited-vision mesh allows you to look out and enjoy natural light without giving people outside a clear view into your home during suitable lighting conditions.
Can people see inside through X-View mesh?
X-View mesh is designed as a privacy mesh that helps obstruct visibility from outside while allowing you to see out. This provides an added level of privacy for your home, particularly during the daytime. Visibility can vary depending on lighting conditions, so it is not intended to provide complete privacy in every situation.
Are X-View Doors suitable for all entrances?
X-View Doors can be custom-made to suit individual homes and are suitable for many residential entrances. They feature a heavy-duty aluminium frame, privacy mesh and a 3-point locking system. Our team can assess your doorway and recommend the most suitable X-View configuration for your entrance, including hinged doors and other available options.
Are X-View Doors tested to Australian Standards?
Yes. Budget Security Doors’ X-View Doors have undergone a range of Australian Standards tests, including anti-jemmy, pull, knife-shear and impact testing to AS 5039-2008. The product information also lists cyclone screen testing to AS/NZS 1170.2 and 10,000-hour salt spray testing. These tests are designed to assess important aspects of security, durability and performance.
